Writer’s Block !!!
There are no more terrifying words or afflictions to someone who earns their living by turning thoughts to words and creating media to reach an audience that needs those thoughts to make decisions and take action.
My name is Frank Speener and I have spent over 40 years creating effective communications for companies, organizations, political campaigns, and others in the forms of news releases, newspaper and magazine articles, and business communications.
In 1992 I was requested by members of the Illinois House and Senate to develop a strategy to introduce land base gambling to Illinois after the passage of the Illinois Riverboat Gambling bill (HB 572) was passed and became law in 1990. I also crafted a number of media communications for the passage of the gambling bill itself.
The result was the Illinois River Valley Development Pam to serve as a potential blueprint establish and incorporate gaming activities into the existing economic an business strtuctires of the existing communities.
In 1996 I was part of a sub committee of marketing professionals charged with the development of the Council of Better Business Bureau’s national membership retention program. The National Council of Better Business Bureaus is the umbrella organization for over the more than the 100 better Business Bureau locations that operate in the United States and Canada.
Over the years I have learned that effective communication is all about creating a temporary reality in the mind of the reader and directing him or her into that reality to cause them to react to your offer or situation in a favorable manner.
After a very eventful life, I am retired and I am offering my years of experience to folks like you who struggle to break through and get those thoughts out to your target audience.
I know the struggle very well. We have all experienced it from time to time, especially when we are up against an important deadline that has to be met YESTERDAY!
